Youth Ministry
OUR TWO PRIORITIES
- Discipleship with our youth group attendees.
- Multiply their knowledge of the Gospel from wherever they're at in their spiritual walk.
WHO WE ARE
We are an Evangelical youth group, and our pastor, elders, volunteer, and youth leaders take seriously teaching correct orthodox Christian principles from the Bible.
At ACOP, investing in the youth should be paramount for any community. All of our youth volunteers and youth leaders that help us each Friday have all been products of Youth groups around the Southern California area. We know how important it is for young men and women, as well as kids, to have mentors they can look up to and guide in their Christian walk while multiplying their knowledge of the Gospel and the Bible. Still, we also host youth from a variety of backgrounds.
OUR AIM
Our aim in this youth group is to provide these young people with resources, relationships, and reassurance they can take into the real world. So that they can stand firm in their faith and not fall into the temptations, anxieties, and spiritual warfare of this world; this will eventually lead to them supporting their local communities in whatever capacity the Lord sees fit for them.
Proverbs 1:1-7 is a part of scripture that we always keep in mind when we interact, minister, and aid in the lives of our youth attendees.
1 The proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel:
2 To know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight,
3 to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity;
4 to give prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the youth –
5 Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance,
6 to understand a proverb and a saying, the words of the wise and their riddles.
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
